The Magma and MIPS RTL-to-GDSII Reference Design Flow is an excellent out-of-the-box solution that enables designers to deploy the MIPS32 24K/34K/74K cores quickly and confidently. This tightly integrated flow lets designers achieve high frequencies such as 850 MHz (24KE© core in a 90-nm GT process with high speed memories) and 1.12GHz (74Kc© core in a 65-nm GP process), while meeting other critical design requirements. Magma and MIPS are constantly working to develop advanced reference methodologies for the latest high-performance embedded processor cores.

At 90-nm and below, it is critical to minimize dynamic power consumption and leakage while ensuring uniform power distribution. Addressing power issues throughout the design flow can greatly increase design productivity and help SoC designers meet performance goals. Designers who utilize an integrated, power-aware RTL-to-GDSII design flow can significantly accelerate silicon success.

The silicon-proven Magma-MIPS high-performance reference design flow provides a unified platform for the implementation of high-performance, low-power embedded SoCs.
